GERMAIN DROOGENBROODT (edited by)
If so intensely
we would live like the rose
the deep perfume of the bodies
would mean much more.
Oh, short intense life
of a day of secular roses,
you passed by the house
alike, alike, alike,
a wounded meteor, scented
by beauty and truth
The trace you left is an abyss
with residues of roses
where a perfume which doesn’t degrade
causes that our bodies are carried away.
