SILVIA PIO
Clouds crowd this instant
suspended like a weightless
veil wrapping the view
while suns flow by
in blue cuttings of sky.
In the clouds we read
stories of an existence
floating above ours
like a light touch upon us,
sailing in the air’s flood.
Traces of divine signs
the clouds are alphabets
in pioneers’ logbooks
where a rapture
now blooms now dies.
And we wish we could fly
in a mirage of peaceful hemispheres
in mysteries and meanderings
of dreams.
